MOUNTAINNEERING
The ascent of one of the numerous glaciers or the region's peaks together with a Peisey-Vallandry's mountain guide.
GLACIER HIKING
An intermediate step between mountain and high mountain, the regional easier glaciers are ideal for learning to use crampons and getting to know the glaciers' structure and dynamics.
HIKING
Every day, thematical walks: alpine flora, high mountain fauna, lakes, and summits reaching over 3 000 m. Walking off the beaten track.
Supervised by local professional guides.
VIA FERRATA
Many sites in the upper Tarentaise, including the Via Ferrata des Bettières above Peisey, feature modern fixed climbing aids. The valley's mountain guides organise half day initiation sessions with the whole equipment supplied.
ROCK CLIMBING
Climbing lessons, for all levels and all ages, over a fantastic natural rock formation. Learn how to handle ropes and ascend rock climbing routes. Ascension days of big rocky ways. Pass the of E.F.E. tests. 1/2 day classes for novice children.
CANYONING
Jumps, slides, walk and abseil along watery gorges.
Full day or half day sessions for novices or experienced canyoners.
Every day, the professionals montain guides are on duty, during the summer season, at the "Maison de Peisey" (nearby the post office) and at the "Maison de Vallandry" (nearby the cinema).
