Description : The Montagnette "Les Lanches" (and Beaupraz opposite side above the torrent) is situated at the gateway of one of the most beautiful glacial corrie of the Alps. 1500m altitude. This corrie is surmounted by the "Mont Pourri" (3779m altitude) and its foothills, beautifull setting to one of the 5 official gates of the Vanoise National Parc. The architecture of the inhabited house in summer has been preserved: You will notice those mounds protecting the houses in case of avalanches (especially the impressive one of Bellecôte). All the hikes start from "Beaupraz" Bridge towards the high valley. In winter this area is only accessible by food, snow shoe and cross country skiing.
