Description :
Moulin is a village situated at 1300m altitude and seems to be the eldest one in the valley:
monks were living there as from the middle age.
The old path coming from the valley was heading directly towards Moulin.
The village has always been important as the windmills were built there... hence the name of the village.
Then it has been known thanks to the mines exploitation. At this time, there were a grocery, bars, sawmills and the blacksmith farrier.
Nice old houses have been preserved below the chapel.
Kitchen gardens in Moulin are outstanding: they benefit from a nice land, coolness...and passionate gardners!
The GR 5, big path for hiking, is going through the village.
During the winter, the shuttle bus stops just above the chapel. It goes from the "Televillage (access to the ski resort) to the nordic ski area.
